Write for Al 'Aabidaat - Your Voice Matters

“And it is He who sends down rain from heaven, and We produce thereby the vegetation of every kind.” – Qur’an 7:57

Just as Allāh sends diverse forms of sustenance to nourish different types of provision, our ummah needs diverse voices to flourish spiritually. Your unique perspective, struggles, and insights are gifts meant to benefit your sisters in faith.

When our mother Khadijah radiyaLlāhu’anhā embraced Islam, she shared her experience and invited her friends to Islam. When our mother, ‘Aaishah radiyaLlāhu’anhā gained knowledge, she taught hundreds. These remarkable women understood that our knowledge and experiences become more meaningful when they serve others.

“Your story has the power to be someone else’s lifeline.”

What We’re Looking For

The most impactful pieces share these qualities:

● Authenticity over perfection: Readers connect with real experiences, including struggles. You don’t need all the answers.

● Islamic grounding: Base your piece in Qur’anic teachings and Sunnah naturally, not preachily.

● Practical wisdom: Share not just what you learned, but how you applied it. Which verses gave comfort? How did a hadith change your perspective?

Why Submit?

“The Prophet ﷺ taught: “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it.” (Muslim)

Your words can be guidance for another Muslim woman. That article about finding peace through night prayers might help a sister restart Tahajjud. Your piece on setting boundaries might give someone courage to protect their mental health.

“And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose.” Qur’an 65:3
