RAISE WITH US
Rahmah Donations by Al-‘Aabidaat helps raise funds for people with genuine health needs. Every case goes through the same process, whether the application comes in on paper or online. Here’s how it works, from the first application to the case being closed.
How to Apply
Two ways in, one process behind them
An application can start on paper or on a screen. Either way, it lands in the same review queue and is judged against the same requirements.
Printed Form
Fill it by hand
Fill the Beneficiary Application Form by hand, then scan it along with copies of your supporting documents and send them to us by email.
Online Form
Online form
Fill the same form on our website and upload your supporting documents directly. No scanning or emailing needed.
The Process
From application to closed case
Every application, paper or online, goes through the same eight steps. Nothing skips ahead.
-
1. Application Received
We receive your application with your personal details, medical need, next of kin, a proposed verifier, and supporting documents and then your case is logged with a reference number.
-
2. Verification
Before we take any case further, we confirm it is genuine: We check your hospital documents, diagnosis, and cost estimate. We contact your verifier (a community leader, School Amir/Amirah, or other contact) to confirm your situation. We confirm your identification and next of kin details. Cases that cannot be verified are not opened.
-
3. Prior Fundraising Check (if applicable)
If you were already raising funds elsewhere before coming to us, we need to know about it. You'll be asked to provide a statement of account for that fundraiser, from when it started up to now, showing the balance and total amount raised. Running another fundraiser for the same need without telling us can end our support for your case.
-
4. MOU Signed
Before your campaign opens, you (or your guardian/next of kin) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding. It covers: Fundraising will only happen through our campaign on DynaRaise, and through our own website and groups. DynaRaise charges its own platform fee, separate from ours. Our management fee is 2.5% of the amount raised, with a minimum of ₦25,000 and a maximum of ₦100,000. Funds are paid directly to the hospital, not to the family. No campaign opens without a signed MOU.
-
5. Campaign Goes Live
Your case is published as a fundraising campaign on DynaRaise or our website. Donors give directly through the campaign page, and we share updates consistently.
-
6. Closing Statement (if applicable)
If you had a fundraiser running elsewhere before joining us, we'll ask for an updated account statement near the end of our campaign, since people may still be donating there.
-
7. Disbursement
Once the campaign ends, DynaRaise's charges and our management fee are deducted, and the remaining amount is paid directly to the hospital. If the target isn't fully reached, we still pay whatever was raised toward the bill. If there's a surplus, any leftover amount is redirected to support another person in need.
-
8. Case Closed
Once payment reaches the hospital and any surplus is settled, your case file is closed. We keep your application, verification notes, signed MOU, account statements, and proof of payment on record.
