EMERGENCY SUPPORT FOR A WIDOW BATTLING UTERINE PROLAPSE

A 50-year-old widow in Sokoto is currently suffering from a severe uterine prolapse. Her uterus has protruded outside her body and has now become infected. The infection has caused a strong smell, immense pain, and has left her unable to continue working properly as a laundry woman.

She has already lost three of her four children. Today, she only has one child left who still depends on her.

She has no husband, no financial support, and no education. For a long time, she could not access medical care because she simply had no means to do so. Concerned individuals in her community eventually noticed her condition and stepped in to help.

She was initially taken to a teaching hospital, but she was told to return after one month. A medical consultant advised that it is dangerous for her to remain with such a serious infection for that long.

Because of this, trusted volunteers have now taken her to Sarki Specialist Hospital in Sokoto for urgent medical attention. However, they have already exhausted their personal funds just getting her there.

At this stage, she urgently needs funds for consultation, investigations, diagnosis, and likely surgery. We do not yet know the full cost of treatment because doctors first need to assess her condition properly.

This woman is in severe pain. She is struggling physically, emotionally, and financially. We are genuinely concerned that delaying treatment further may cost her life.
