Pray Tahajjud | Connect with Allah

In the stillness of the night, when the world is fast asleep and the noise of the day has faded into silence, there exists a sacred window, one where the soul meets its Lord in quiet surrender.

Tahajjud is a more than a prayer; it is also an invitation. A divine whisper calling the weary, the hopeful, the broken, and the grateful to rise and speak directly to the One who always listens. It is a time of secret devotion, of tears that fall unseen, of hands raised in longing, and hearts laid bare in the safety of divine presence.

The night prayer is very significant in Islam. From being recommended by the Prophet ﷺ, to being usually done alone, in secret communication with Allah. It’s a period for solemn worship and reflections.

If you really want something from Allah and you want a period of time when you can combine praying a voluntary prayer, reciting the Qur’ān, making heartfelt du’as, and Dhikr, there’s no better time daily other than this period to hope for a certain acceptance of these days.

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (RA): The Prophet ﷺ said that Allah descends to the last heaven closest to us when the first one-third of the night has passed and Allah will say:

Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night and says: ‘Who is calling upon Me so that I may answer him? Who is asking Me so that I may give to him? Who is seeking My forgiveness so that I may forgive him?’” [Sahih Bukhari (Hadith 1145), Sahih Muslim (Hadith 758)]

So… will you rise to be among those who respond?

Wake up at the time when others are glued to their pillows and struggling to lift the blanket and connect with your Lord in the most solemn of times.
